HOW WE STARTED

In the bustling heart of our town, where the rhythm of daily life often drowned out the whispers of self-care, a vision began to take shape. It started with a simple idea shared over coffee between friends—how could we help our community embrace a healthier lifestyle, not just physically, but holistically, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit? This idea blossomed into what we now proudly call TAP GYM.

The inspiration behind TAP GYM was rooted in the belief that fitness is not merely about lifting weights or running on a treadmill; it’s about fostering a community where everyone feels empowered to embark on their unique wellness journey.     I was born in Türkiye/Istanbul in 1986. I started sports with Burhan Felek Gymnastics Club in 1991 and continued by playing semi-professional volleyball at Eczacıbaşı Sports Club. I studied at Sainte Pulcherie French College between 1997-2002 and at Saint Benoit French High School between 2002-2005. I graduated from Yıldız Technical French Translation and Interpreting Department between 2005-2009. I started my training career by successfully graduating from ACE (American Council on Exercise), the only personal trainer training program approved by the National Education in Turkey and valid in the world. As of 2011, I have been continuing my career as a one-on-one sports instructor in corporate sports clubs and boutique gyms such as United Clubs and Mars Entertainment Group Mac Fitness. My areas of expertise are; Functional Training Corrective Exercises Healthy Bodybuilding / Split Weight Training.

  • SALIH ÇAĞALOĞLU

    Salih Cagaloglu – Professional Coach & Performance Trainer

    Born in 1986 in Artvin, Turkey, I embarked on my journey in sports and fitness with a Bachelor's degree in Coaching from Hacettepe University's Faculty of Sports Sciences (2008-2013). I further my enhanced expertise by completing a Pedagogical Formation Program at Dokuz Eylül University (2013-2015).

    Football & Coaching Career

    With 11 years of experience in amateur and professional football, I transitioned into coaching and performance training. I have worked as a professional coach and strength & conditioning specialist with renowned clubs, including Ankaraspor, Gençlerbirliği, and Altınordu Sports Club. During this time, I specialized in scientifically backed training methods to enhance athlete performance and injury prevention.

    Personal Training & Fitness Coaching.

    Beyond team sports, I have been actively involved in personal training across leading gyms and boutique fitness studios. For the past three years, I have been delivering personalized training programs at Tap Spor, helping individuals achieve their fitness and performance goals.

  • SARP ATAY

    I was born in Izmir in 1995. During my primary school, high school and university years, I was involved in many different branches of sports at professional, semi-professional and amateur levels. After completing my high school education at Robert College in Istanbul, I studied Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University in the USA.

    During my university years, I gained extensive experience by working in different roles such as coaching, studio management and operational duties in more than 10 gyms in the USA. I received Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) Mobility Specialist and MovNat Natural Movement Level 1 & 2 certificates to support my academic education.

  • UMUTCAN AKDAŞÇI

    I was born in Izmir in 1993. In my football career, which I started when I was 7 years old, I played football in many Izmir teams such as Izmirsor Altinordu. Dokuz Eylül University Sports in 2012 I started my education life as a physical education teacher. I have attended many training programs such as posture, exercise science and wellness. T.A.P. since 2019 I work as a personnel trainer under the umbrella. Functional training, posture exercises and core area training are the areas where I am effective.

  • MERT SARIŞEN

    I was born in Bursa on 25.03.1986. I started my sports career with water polo during my high school years. I graduated from Celal Bayar University, B.E.S.Y.O. Swimming Coaching Department in 2011. I started working as a fitness trainer at MyClup Istanbul and then continued my career in many boutique private studios in Istanbul. During this period, I attended various training programs and received certificates to specialize in the field of Functional training. My areas of expertise Swimming Functional training Olympic lifts crossfit bodybuilding.

FADIME ÇAKIROĞLU

I was born in Denizli in 1993. I started my sports life with volleyball in 2002 and continued professionally between 2009 and 2012. I graduated from high school at Denizli Bozkurt Sports High School and graduated from Ege University Faculty of Sports Sciences.

MEHMET ÖZER

Mehmet OZER I was born in Trabzon on 09.10.1982 Anadolu University sports management I am a physical education teacher graduate of Dokuz Eylül University. Kickboxing - Boxing - Wushu -Wellness - Fitness senior coach I have 2nd level coaching certificates.

  • I started my sports life with Wushu Kung-fu branch in Izmir in 1994. I continued with Boxing and Kickboxing branches in 95 and 96. In 2002, as the Turkish champion, I entered the national team in these branches of Kickboxing - Wushu - Boxing. Later, he turned to Muay Thai and Mma branches. I became the Turkish champion in these branches. I continue to fight actively and have been participating in bare-knuckle boxing competitions for the last two years. My areas of expertise and degrees are as follows: kickboxing World 2nd league 2 times World Cup champion 2 times World 3rd place European 2nd league Türkiye championship between 2002 -2019 muaythai European championship European 2nd league European 3rd place Türkiye championship between 2004 and 2015 Wushu world cup 2. international championship Türkiye championship between 2002-2017 mma Balkan championship Türkiye championship between 2014 and 2015 Boxing Groups Türkiye Turkish Championship.

CAN BAŞÇİFTÇI

Hello, I am Can, I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Sports Sciences in 2015, concentrating on Movement and Training science. After the university, I started my professional career in Galatasaray Men's Volleyball A team and U23 Men's Volleyball National teams in the 2015/16 season.

DIDEM KARA

Yoga Instructor & Freediving Athlete
Didem Kara, born in 1984, is the only professionally licensed freediving athlete in Izmir.
He has received training in exercise sciences, corrective exercise, ayurveda, oil science, deep connective tissue massage in alcohol and substance addiction and different massage techniques and has created a unique training system by combining them.
